One major aspect of my relational healing journey has been rebuilding a relationship to Little Ashley. My life was changed when I realized she was the behold of my repeating relational patterns that made relationships hard for me.
But rebuilding my relationship to her wasn’t easy….
When I realized I had to double down on my inner child work, I absolutely hated her. I wanted nothing more than for her to be gone.
And yet, the only way I could bring her home was to find compassion and love for her. The compassion and love I so desperately needed as a kid but didn’t get. And a level of compassion and love that I had never experienced in my life before.
In this episode, I shared about my journey from hating Little Ashley to becoming her devotional mother.
I share some of the key principles that helped me become open to her and the inner work we did together afterwards.
I also explore some start points when it comes to starting your inner child healing journey.
Impact of unresolved childhood wounds on adult relationships
Principles to support the inner child healing journey
Tools for reconnecting with the inner child
The process of building trust with inner child
Relational possibilities after inner child work
